Embracing Tradition with a Twist: How Alternative Couples Can Incorporate Traditional Wedding Colours into Their Celebration

When it comes to wedding flowers, white is undeniably timeless. I have spent years exploring every kind of white flower imaginable to find the perfect stems to make modern wedding flowers where the only conventional thing is the colour palette. On this shoot I opted to use an array of boho-inspired neutral flowers nestled in stoneware bud vases, these understated yet captivating displays were perfect textural pieces to punctuate the space and infuse it with the couple’s unconventional spirit.

For the groom, a buttonhole I created a small cluster of white flowers of set with a bloom of brown grass this fluffy addition added visual interest and popped out against his black suit and intricate tattoos. I love buttonholes for this reason, a small floral piece that serves as a nod to tradition while maintaining a touch of individuality and bringing the venue and couple together as one.

Now, let’s talk about the bridal bouquet. A stunning composition of white flowers intertwined with dried elements and beautifully natural brown elements made the white flowers stand out, creating a timeless bouquet yet refreshingly unique.

Finally, we created a mesmerizing hanging installation, suspended from above like a work of art. Adorned with an abundance of white blooms and interesting dried elements, the finished result was a breath-taking sight that captivates the imagination. A perfect place to exchange vows beneath this unique canopy, reflecting the beauty of nature.
