Old Gore Barn by Yardspace is a brilliant mix of rustic charm and contemporary styling – even on a rainy day like Chris and Imogen’s wedding. The weather may have poured all day, but the vibrant flowers more than made up for the grey skies. Bright, modern, and playful, this couple’s vision was all about statement colours and textural interest – and it was a joy to bring to life.
BRIDAL BOUQUET
Imogen’s bouquet was ultra-modern – clusters of orange, purple, yellow and lime green flowers, brought together with trailing amaranths and a few standout stems like orchids for a bold finish. It was sculptural and stunning – a true statement piece.
BRIDESMAIDS’ BOUQUETS
Each bridesmaid held a neat, scaled-down version of Imogen’s bouquet – striking yet light enough to carry with ease. These echoed the vivid tones and gave the group a really dynamic look.
BUTTONHOLES
The buttonholes carried through the modern theme, with bold colours and sleek styling. We kept them simple and sculptural to balance the fuller designs elsewhere.
CEREMONY FLOWERS
The aisle was flanked with floral meadows in a rich spring palette. At the top of the aisle, we moved away from traditional “long and low” designs and instead created two dramatic freestanding pieces – one on the table and one grounded below, visually linked with trailing amaranths and orchids in that unforgettable purple.
WEDDING BREAKFAST TABLE FLOWERS
We styled two long tables with a mix of low, sculptural arrangements – floral bowls, ikebana-inspired pieces, bud vases and colourful candles. The palette of pinks, oranges, purples and greens created a vibrant, artful tablescape that truly reflected the couple’s energy.
