Modern Wedding Florals at Farleigh House, Bath

When Claire and Mark began planning their dream wedding, they envisioned winter florals that fully embraced the beauty of nature. Using raw natural materials like branches, dried elements, moss, and striking stems, we worked together to create something truly remarkable. At the historic Farleigh House, their floral vision transformed the space into a modern, yet earthy masterpiece, blending contemporary design with the venue’s timeless elegance.

Farleigh House, a stunning venue nestled in the heart of Bath’s countryside, offers an incredible backdrop for weddings. The grandeur of the architecture combined with its cozy yet dramatic interiors makes it a florist’s dream canvas. We’ve always loved the opportunity to design weddings here, and Claire and Mark’s vision was perfect.

Bridal Bouquet

Claire opted for an ultra-modern bouquet that reflected her bold wedding style. A cluster of striking Anthurium’s in deep burgundy shades complemented the wedding’s colour scheme of green, earthy yellow, and deep red. The bouquet contrasted beautifully with Claire’s bright yellow dress, which was nothing short of a showstopper. She was a vision as she descended the dramatic staircase aisle in the main hall, her bouquet adding an edge of modern sophistication.

Buttonholes

For Mark and his groomsmen, we created ornate buttonholes that tied seamlessly into the wedding’s floral aesthetic. Rich, frilly floral stems were combined with a mixture of dried elements, bringing texture and depth to the design. These buttonholes were small but mighty, echoing the raw and natural theme of the day.

Chuppah

The couple’s chuppah became a focal point of the ceremony, incorporating a giant branch adorned with its natural brown leaves. This striking element brought the outdoors inside, creating a seamless connection between the natural surroundings and the interior space. We added a giant floral bowl overflowing with modern, bold flowers, giving the chuppah a contemporary edge while remaining grounded in the couple’s earthy aesthetic.

Staircase

The dramatic staircase of Farleigh House played a pivotal role in Claire’s entrance, and we made sure to enhance its grandeur. A mix of lush foliage, was combined with modern flowers and textured elements, creating a cascading effect. The result was both organic and architectural, perfectly framing Claire’s journey down the aisle.

Drinks Reception

For the drinks reception, we transformed the venue’s breakout spaces into a winter wonderland. Every corner was adorned with branches, old man’s beard, dried elements, and floral fireplaces. Hundreds of candles added a warm glow, creating a magical and intimate ambiance. The natural and modern elements worked harmoniously to make the space feel both cozy and breathtaking.

Wedding Breakfast

The reception space was dressed to perfection for Claire and Mark’s wedding breakfast. Long banquet tables were adorned with low arrangements featuring Anthuriums protruding elegantly, along with Ikebana-inspired designs and a mix of candles in the couple’s bold colour palette. The result was a striking yet intimate dining experience. As Claire changed into a white bridal outfit for dinner, the atmosphere became even more elegant, with the décor setting the stage for a warm and unforgettable celebration.

A huge thank you to Ann Nicholas Weddings for creating the perfect stage for Claire and Mark’s unique wedding. It was an absolute dream brief to bring their vision to life with modern florals and natural materials. Farleigh House was the perfect venue.
