My favourite thing about what I do is reaching the people who look at the wedding industry and just don't see anything that appeals to them.⁠

Through the years I've had some incredible clients that seem relieved to have found me, that they're in safe hands. Couples who have a really clear idea of what they want but keep being shown the absolute opposite, leaving them feeling like their wedding isn't going to represent them and like they have to go for the same thing as everyone else.⁠

These are the briefs that light me up and get me excited, and I'm always happy to help couples find other suppliers who align to their style so every element of their wedding can be 10000% true to them.⁠

I had a really interesting conversation with a fellow florist this other day at an awesome networking/learning event with @littleweddinghub.⁠

We'd all had a really interesting conversation about Diversity & Inclusion and I think all of us were reasonably far along on our educational journey (always room for more learning of course). It was a long time ago that I did a fine tooth comb of my website ensuring I use 'couple' instead of 'bride and groom' etc. ⁠

What we were talking about specifically though were the personal flowers, particularly 'bridal bouquets' - obviously they don't need to be held only by a 'bride' - however, they are bouquets that are incredibly special. I hand pick these flowers first, ensuring they're the best, most open blooms and spend a really long time making sure they're perfect -they need a name to reflect how special this design is.⁠

We didn't come to an answer on this, 'main bouquet' just doesn't sound all that appealing to be honest. So if anyone has any ideas or the wordsmiths among you have a better way of phrasing it I would LOVE to hear it! ⁠

I'm pretty sure this would have been our ceremony location. It's just an amazing backdrop and absolutely not what people expect from a wedding venue and that's what's so good about it! ⁠

There are thankfully other venues which are similar in style (very grateful for @themountwithout_events which is now my nearest one) so if you're looking for something a little different for your wedding, I'd 100% recommend going down this route!⁠

Ahh, the humble pew end. Very rarely do I ever actually put flowers on a 'pew' - I think we need a new name for them.⁠

These floor designs are the next level up from the tied bunches and are also MUCH easier to reuse in your reception (stay tuned, I'll be posting that later this week!). There are a few instances with your wedding flowers where it really is better to spend a little more and be able to enjoy larger, showstopping florals, all day long - and this is one of them. ⁠

On my last post I mentioned the gorgeous photo had a real spectral quality... and then I noticed these were ghost chairs! Keeping things really supernatural over here 👀⁠
