Sarah and Jake reached out to me after seeing one of my favourite weddings. Sarah immediately connected with the elegant, understated style of that wedding and said it was exactly what she had been looking for. I was thrilled to design something inspired by that wedding but unique to them, tailored to their stunning venue in Bristol. Every floral arrangement was crafted to bring Sarah’s vision to life with a fresh, modern twist on nude tones, beautifully reflecting their personalities and style.
BRIDAL BOUQUET
For Sarah’s bouquet, we wanted a design that was as romantic as it was refined. We focused on lush, fluffy roses in soft nude and white tones as the centrepiece of the arrangement, blending in delicate accents like zinnias, stocks, and tiny pompom dahlias. This created a dreamy, English country garden-inspired bouquet that looked effortlessly elegant and natural. The soft, flowing textures and gentle colour palette of the bouquet were a beautiful nod to Sarah’s love of timeless, Cotswold-inspired beauty.
BUTTONHOLES
Jake and his groomsmen’s buttonholes added a touch of classic romance to their wedding attire. I used one of my favourite luxury spray roses, the Majolica, for its soft, rounded petals and refined white hue. Paired with nude and soft pink stems, these buttonholes perfectly complemented the groomsmen’s black suits and traditional bow ties. This sophisticated “old money” aesthetic was understated yet impactful, adding a romantic and cohesive touch to their classic wedding style.
CEREMONY FLORALS
For the ceremony, we kept things simple yet elegant. Small clusters of flowers were arranged at the aisle ends to echo the wedding party’s florals, creating a cohesive floral design that softened the aisle and filled the indoor ceremony space with natural beauty. These floral accents brought the essence of an outdoor garden into the venue, enhancing the space’s ambiance with delicate, fresh floral notes.
CELLO FLORAL MEADOWS
One unique request was for a floral meadow arrangement surrounding the cello player – a delightful twist that I hadn’t created before! I’ve previously designed floral meadows for wedding cakes, but creating one for the musician added a charming, artistic touch. The meadow not only framed the cellist beautifully but also filled the ceremony space with the soft, enchanting vibe of a garden in full bloom.
TABLE FLOWERS
For the table settings, we opted for high, round floral arrangements using my favourite footed Gia bowls. These sleek white vessels complemented the modern-meets-regal style Sarah and Jake envisioned. The tablescapes paired perfectly with nude tapered candles, adding elegance and depth to the room’s overall aesthetic. The muted floral tones harmonised with the wedding’s neutral palette, creating a warm, inviting ambiance for the reception.
This wedding was a true celebration of soft, nude florals and timeless elegance – a perfect blend of modern and classic elements. From Sarah’s romantic bouquet to the graceful table arrangements, each piece reflected their love story with fresh, sophisticated flair.
