Bought a beautiful pinstripe calathea that arrived super quickly and in great condition. There was also a hand written note and a care guide which was a very nice personal touch.

Native to South America, the monstera adansonii (or Swiss Cheese Plant) is one of the most iconic houseplants around. Gloria is the cheeky younger sibling to the traditional cheese plant with her uniquely placed leaf holes giving her the nickname ‘Monkey Mask Monstera’.
Used to clambering up the tallest trees, this beauty will keep growing and you can train her to climb a moss pole.
☼ Sunlight: A bright spot but no direct sunlight
☂ Water: Fairly regularly but let the soil dry out
♡ Care: Easy
◯ Pot Size: fits 13-15cm
She will arrive in a 12cm plastic growing pot and you can add on a perfectly fitting pot to go with her – I recommend a 13-15cm pot

Monstera Adansonii | Swiss Cheese Plant
Monstera plants make a fantastic gift and are easy to care for. This plant loves a bit of bright sunshine but not too much direct sunlight – think of their natural home, some light coming though the treetop canopy but mostly pretty shaded by the treetops. Mine loves life with a bit of early morning sun and a shadier afternoon.
Take care not to overwater and check that the soil has dried out before watering. Her leaves will usually droop a little when she’s thirsty so you’ll know when she needs a drink.
As with all our houseplants, Gloria is named after an inspiring woman. This time, Gloria Steinem – a journalist and political activist, helping to lead the modern feminist movement in the US.
Monsteras aren’t great for cats as they can cause irritation if eaten so you’ll need to keep it out of the way of your fluffy feline!
