The drive out to North Cadbury Court was through relentless pouring rain, but the sight of the stunning historic venue made it all worthwhile. Nestled in the Somerset countryside, North Cadbury Court is a grand estate that offers an elegant and timeless setting for weddings, with its rich history, sprawling grounds, and stately architecture. After a rather damp setup at the church for the ceremony and later in the main house’s dining room, the sun finally made an appearance just in time for the wedding ceremony, ensuring a beautiful day for our lovely couple.

BRIDAL BOUQUET
For Zoe’s bridal bouquet, she had initially requested peonies, but as these are no longer in season in September, we opted for stunning garden roses in soft blush and white tones. This fluffy bouquet of open roses perfectly captured the romantic essence of the day and was an ideal match for our classic bride in this old English wedding venue.
BRIDESMAIDS
For the bridesmaids, we combined delicate pastel blue hydrangeas with white and peach florals, creating a look reminiscent of the Bridgerton era. The soft, elegant tones were perfect for the surroundings, and with their mismatched pale blue dresses, the bridesmaids looked like a vision of timeless elegance.

BUTTONHOLES
To maintain the classic, timeless aesthetic of the wedding flowers, we chose magnolia spray roses for the groomsmen’s buttonholes. These beautiful, smaller rose varieties are soft, frilly, and romantic, making them a perfect match for the rest of the floral decor. For the groom, we added a touch of peach to his buttonhole, ensuring he was beautifully coordinated with his bride’s bouquet.

CEREMONY
The couple opted to get married in North Cadbury Court’s impressive church. At the head of the aisle, we placed two grand urns overflowing with abundant arrangements of roses and hydrangeas. These floral displays added a stunning accent to the space, perfectly complemented by the backdrop of the magnificent stained glass window, creating a truly showstopping atmosphere.

WEDDING BREAKFAST
For the wedding breakfast, we adorned the round tables with footed bowls brimming with the same flowers used throughout the day. This elevated design was perfect for the setting and continued the floral language of the wedding. Behind the top table, we added a floral arrangement to the beautifully positioned fireplace. A contemporary twist was introduced by placing an asymmetric arrangement in one corner, bringing a fresh feel to the traditional pastel colour palette. Finally, we moved the grand urns from the ceremony to either side of the top table, creating a breathtaking floral backdrop for the couple to give their speeches and share the joy of being newly married.
