I love working at a new venue, and The Barn at Upcote was such a wonderful surprise. After driving through the rolling Cotswold hills followed by a long drive, I wasn’t sure what to expect. However, I emerged to be greeted by the most beautiful light Cotswold stone barn. The grounds were beautifully curated, and I couldn’t wait to add pops of colour to this stunning setting.
BRIDAL BOUQUET
For Moa’s bridal bouquet, I chose the very best of the sherbet-coloured selection of British-grown flowers, mixed with some of my all-time favourite blooms, to create an eye-catching and colourful bouquet. It was perfect for adding extra personality to Moa’s classic and beautifully elegant bridal look.
BRIDESMAIDS
Moa’s bridesmaids, wearing a wonderful selection of mismatched dresses in hues of orange, pink, and yellow, looked amazing with smaller versions of Moa’s bouquet, tying together the colourful scene.
BUTTONHOLES
Peter and his groomsmen wore beautifully unique mismatched buttonholes, using a selection of flowers from the bridal bouquet. I love using textural and unique British-grown flowers to add just as much personality to the groom’s party.
CEREMONY
We dressed the end of the aisle with two exquisite floral meadows. The bright pops of colour from these blooms created such wonderfully soft, natural shapes at the end of the aisle.
WEDDING BREAKFAST
If you have been following me for a while, you’ll know that I love to mix and match on my tables. I think it’s the best way to create impact and interest in wedding breakfast spaces, and it’s guaranteed to draw more attention when everything isn’t perfectly uniform. By using bowl arrangements on some of the tables and clusters of bud vases on others, as well as repurposing the meadows for the top table, we created a wonderful, colourful cacophony for this beautiful celebration.
