Meg and Joe’s wedding last year was truly one to remember – not always for the right reasons! But before you start to worry, rest assured: as wedding vendors (aka superheroes), we pulled it all together in the end.
Setting off to Smedmore House in Dorset, everything was running smoothly… until my van broke down. Thankfully, my emergency contingency plan kicked in – a little pre-wedding wisdom that saved the day! Despite the hiccup, I arrived with plenty of time to set up.
BRIDAL BOUQUET
For Meg’s bouquet, we created a natural palette of oranges, pale pinks, and soft whites. The result? A bright and beautiful arrangement that brought cheer to what turned out to be a rather grey day.
BRIDESMAIDS’ BOUQUETS
The bridesmaids carried smaller versions of the bridal bouquet, which looked stunning against their sage green dresses. They were joined by a dapper bridesman, adding a touch of extra glamour to the aisle walk.
BUTTONHOLES
Joe and his groomsmen looked dashing with buttonholes featuring soft hues from the bridal palette. Joe’s statement buttonhole was a standout – the delicate tones let those floaty, beautiful stems truly shine.
CEREMONY FLOWERS
The rain meant a last-minute change to an indoor ceremony, so we reworked the original design on-site. Creating a show-stopping gypsophila cloud that floated above the marquee space. This airy, eye-catching focal piece was perfect for drawing attention without needing lots of extra details. We paired it with long aisle meadows, creating a light, whimsical atmosphere that made the ceremony feel magical.
WEDDING BREAKFAST
Remember the floral meadows from the ceremony? They were repurposed for the top table, where they framed the gypsophila cloud beautifully. This setup was a true showstopper, creating a seamless transition between ceremony and reception. The result? A stunning, cohesive look that wowed guests.
